How to test the oil absorption value of S500

The testing method for the S500 Oil Absorption Tester is as follows:

Sample Preparation: Uniformly treat the powder sample to be tested to ensure even particle distribution.

Oil Addition: Use a specific titration device to slowly drip oil into the sample. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is commonly used, but the instrument also supports other liquids such as DOP, NMP, linseed oil, etc.

Mixing: During the oil dripping process, two motor-driven rotating blades in the instrument simultaneously stir the sample to ensure thorough mixing of the oil and the sample.
Endpoint Determination: The S500 Oil Absorption Tester offers three measurement methods to determine the test endpoint

Details are as follows:

trqmode× Manual Measurement: Select "trqmode (nm)". When the measured torque value reaches the set value, the measurement is automatically completed, and the torque absorption value at the endpoint is recorded. However, manual measurement is invalid in this method.

peakmode× Manual Measurement: Select "peakmode (nm)". When stopped at any moment, the torque value at that point is measured. During the process of reaching the maximum torque absorption, the "peakmode○○(%)" absorption value can be calculated. Manual measurement is valid in this method.

Data Recording and Calculation: The instrument automatically records the volume of oil consumed and calculates the oil absorption value based on the sample's mass. Measurement data and torque curves will be displayed and can be output via a printer or serial port, printed using the built-in printer, or transmitted to a computer via external communication for real-time inspection and analysis of the results.
